Gyabo Network Pvt Ltd on Friday announced the official launch of its e-commerce portal nixonmarket.com, a platform to sell, buy and exchange new books or used ones.
The users have to log on to the website and register before uploading pictures of the books they want to sell. Within 48 hours nixonmarket.com will respond and send its executive to the user's doorstep, to assess the fair value of the book based on its condition and make the payment.
"The whole idea is to eliminate the pain of packing books and taking them to book stores to sell. Book readers always try to fill their shelves with new books by getting rid of old ones. But we often feel difficulty in finding time to take the used books to market. We at nixonmarket.com are here to help you sell your books as well as buy and exchange," said Gyabo Network Director Raj Kumar Agrawal.
The registered users can avail the pickup and delivery service of nixonmarket.com for exchanging their books with others. Users can also buy new books, he added.
Currently nixonmarket.com offers services in Hyderabad but plans to expand to other major cities of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Nielsen India Book Market Report 2015 says India's book market, currently worth Rs 261 billion and the sixth largest in the world and the second largest of the English language ones, is expected to touch Rs 739 billion by 2020.
