Actor Shakti Anand will be seen playing the role of a father in TV show "Gangaa", and says he has no qualms about it.

"'Gangaa' is a beautiful concept and I am happy to be part of the show. My character Shiv is very straight-forward and a no-nonsense guy. I will be playing father to a 10-year-old child, who refuses to accept anyone in the place of his deceased wife," Shakti said in a statement.

He added: "It's interesting then to see how Gangaa will break the barriers and make an effort to win Shiv's confidence."

"Gangaa" started off as a story of a child widow and her hardships. The &TV show now talks about how she falls in love.

Aditi Sharma, who essays the role of Gangaa, said: "The show is very close to my heart, and I am enjoying every bit of it. From light cotton saris with my hair open I will now graduate to silks with embroidery blouses and tied up hair. The story graph has been steady and it's a meaningful plot of Gangaa's journey."

Debina Bonnerjee floored by set decor

Actress Debina Bonnerjee says she was impressed with the decor and settings on the set of TV show "Santoshi Maa" for a proposal sequence.

The current track throws light on the love triangle between Santoshi, Dhairya and Trishna.

"It has been shot on a large scale and the decor just impressed me. They lit a lot of candles and it all looked absolutely stunning," Debina said in a statement.

She added: "Viewers have seen Trishna plotting against Santoshi and now she is expressing her feelings to Dhairya. She doesn't just like him but wishes to marry him inspite of knowing he is still married to Santoshi.

"This is definitely a big turning point in our story. Post this sequence, Trishna will also be seen provoking Santoshi to get violent so that she can prove to Dhairya that he is better off without Santoshi."
