The Haryana government has notified an action plan to protect the life and property of the senior citizens, a minister said on Friday.
The plan has been framed as per the provisions of Section 22(2) of the Haryana Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Act of 2007 and Rule 24 of the Haryana Maintenance of Parents and Senior Citizen Rules of 2009, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Kavita Jain told reporters.
She said the senior superintendent of police or the superintendent of police of each district would take all necessary steps for the protection of life and property of the senior citizens.
The complaints or problems of the elders would be promptly attended to by the police, added Jain
