HDFC Bank posts Rs 3,238 crore net profit in Q1

Private sector HDFC Bank Ltd on Thursday said it closed the first quarter of the current fiscal with a net profit of Rs 3,238.91 crore as compared to Rs 2,695.72 crore for the same period last year.

In a regulatory filing in BSE, the bank also said it earned a total income of Rs 19,322.63 crore for the period under review, up from Rs 16,502.97 crore earned during the comparable quarter last fiscal.
