Hero MotoCorp Ltd (HMCL) on Thursday said its two-wheeler sales grew 28 per cent in August to 6,16,424 units as compared to 4,80,537 units sold in the corresponding month last year.
The company plans launches of three new motorcycles in the domestic market before the festive season.
"There was positive sales growth in the scooter segment. Fifteen new products will be launched across segments in domestic and global markets this fiscal, out of which three motorcycles will be introduced in the domestic market before the festive season," an HMCL statement said.
These include new 'Achiever' 150cc motorcycle and 'Super Splendor' and 'Passion PRO' motorcycles with Hero-patented i3S technology, it said.
