The security scenario and safety of aircraft operations at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport were reviewed at a high-level meeting here on Monday.
The airfield environment management committee discussed in details the issues of waste garbage disposal around the airport and cleaning of drainage system to minimise bird and wildlife hazard.
The aerodrome committee was seized with the security scenario and reviewed the necessary arrangements to ensure safe and secure aircraft operations, the airport said in a press release.
The meeting was chaired by West Bengal Home Secretary Atri Bhattacharya and convened by airport director Atul Dikshit.
