The Himachal Pradesh High Court on Tuesday directed the state government to file a reply in one week regarding disappearance of a boy from Shimla since 2014.
A division bench of Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan passed the order on a petition filed by Pinky Gupta, the mother of the missing four-year-old child. She has sought a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into the incident.
She alleged that on June 14, 2014, she lost her son and lodged a case with police.
The petition said her husband got three calls from Sanjeevan Jaiswal in August 2014 for ransom.
Though Jaiswal was questioned by police, the case into his disappearance has been shifted to the CID but no headway has been made till date, she said, and demanded transfer the case to the CBI or any other agency for proper investigation.
