Himalayan studies centre to come up in Uttarakhand

A national centre for Himalayan studies will be set up in Uttarakhand, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said Thursday.

"Himalayan studies need to be promoted. I propose to set up a national centre for Himalayan studies in the state of Uttarakhand," Jaitley said while presenting his maiden budget.
