Hitachi Solutions India, a subsidiary of Hitachi Solutions America and a leading provider of global industry solutions and services, plans to start its second development centre here in August this year.
This was conveyed by a delegation of Hitachi's top officials that called on Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao here on Saturday.
Hitachi already has a global development centre in Hyderabad since 2013.
Ananthanarayanan, CEO & managing director, Hitachi Solutions India, Mike Gillis, president and global chief operating officer, Hitachi Solutions America and Gary Peterson, executive vice president Hitachi, and others called on the chief minister, according to a statement from the chief minister's office.
The Hitachi team expressed its willingness to partner with the Telangana government in the areas of smart city solutions wherein the chief minister can interact with the general public, smart card solutions and health care in partnership with Microsoft.
Ananthanarayanan said Hitachi was very keen to offer global solutions to make Hyderabad a smarter city.
Chandrashekhar Rao evinced keen interest in the company's multiple smart card system and suggested it explore the possibilities of introducing the card in the state. The CM said that in addition to Hyderabad, other big towns like Warangal, Khammam and Karimnagar could also be considered for using the company's solutions. He also suggested that the Hitachi team look into establishing some heavy machinery plant in Telangana.
