Hoarded pulses recovered in MP in anti-hoarding drive

In a drive to check the hoarding of pulses, the Madhya Pradesh government on Sunday recovered hundreds of tonnes of pulses from various warehouses across the sate.

According to the state's food department, the raids at stores of various pulse traders were continuing.

An official estimated the value of recovered pulses at over Rs.5 crore.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday directed that pulses stock ceiling order be imposed and also ordered launching of a drive to check hoarding and black marketing of pulses in the state.
