Win or lose, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) continue to be favourites for its die-hard fans, even as the team took on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL match at the Chinnaswamy stadium here.

Though RCB is languishing at the seventh position on the points table with just two wins from six games, a packed stadium indicated an overwhelming support from home fans, who hope their team will get back to winning ways for a place in the play-offs.

"It's disappointing to see RCB losing four of the six games after an excellent start over Sunrisers Hyderabad in their opening tie here (April 12) and losing the second match to Delhi Daredevils here (April 17). I hope they will win this game and regain the lost momentum," techie Satya Prakash, watching the match from the crowded eastern stands, told IANS.

In the four away matches, RCB lost to Mumbai Indians in Mumbai on April 20, but won against Rising Pune Supergiants at Pune on April 22. It also lost to Gujarat Lions at Rajkot on April 24 and Sunrisers at Hyderabad on April 30.

However not all viewers were supporting them.

"We have come to the stadium to watch an exciting match for fun. Not worried much who wins or loses though we want KKR to win as we are from Kolkata and seen it lifting the trophy twice in the past," said Sushmita, 26, a fashion designer, who got a complimentary pass to watch the game from pavilion stand with her husband.
