Honda sells 14,712 cars in November

Leading car manufacturer Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) registered domestic sales of 14,712 units in November this year -- a fall of 3.61 percent compared to the same month of last year, the company announced on Tuesday.

HCIL had sold 15,263 cars in November 2014 -- meaning thereby that sales declined by 551 units this year.

The company recorded exports of 120 cars in November 2015, taking its total sales in the month to 14,832 cars.

In the model-wise break-up of domestic sales during November, Honda City led the pack with 6,342 units, followed by Amaze (4,106 units), Jazz (3,367 units), Brio (461 units), Mobilio (393 units) and CR-V (43 units).

On a cumulative basis from April to November 2015, HCIL sold 1,32,095 units in the domestic market, recording a growth of 13.18 percent against 1,16,705 units in the like period of 2014.

Established in December 1995, HCIL manufactures its cars in its facilities at Greater Noida, in Uttar Pradesh, and at Tapurkara, in Rajasthan. It has a sales and distribution network of 262 outlets in 172 locations across India.
