A Hong Kong Airlines aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing in central China's Hubei Province on Tuesday after a bomb threat.

Flight HX 337, en route from Beijing to Hong Kong, was forced to land at Tianhe airport in Wuhan city after a bomb threat was received at 2 p.m., Xinhua news agency reported.

The plane landed safely at 2.31 p.m. and all 295 passengers and crew left the plane.

Police later found no explosives after checking the plane thoroughly and were investigating the source of the false alarm.
