After a hot Saturday, there is respite in sight with light rains accompanied by thunder and dust storms expected in the capital late Saturday and Sunday, the Met office has said.
"Thunderstorms and dust storm will occur in parts of the city tonight (Saturday) and tomorrow (Sunday) along with light rains," said an official of the India meteorological Department (IMD)
Sunday's maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 36 and 25 degrees Celsius.
The skies remained for a major part of Saturday and maximum temperatures settled three notches below average at 36 degrees Celsius. The minimum was a notches below average at 24.6 degrees.
The day's maximum humidity was recorded at 46 percent.
Friday's maximum temperature was 40.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above average, while the minimum was 25.2 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year.
