The national capital Sunday saw a hot day as the maximum temperature soared up to 43.5 degreeACelsius, four notches above the season's average. Met has forecast a similar Monday with hot air waves in the city.
"Monday is likely to be clear and hot. Temperature may soar up,"said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and the minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 44 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature Sunday was 27.5 degree Celsius, a notch above the average.
Saturday witnessed a hot day, with the maximum temperature at 44.5 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season's average while the minimum was at 29.3 degrees Celsius, three notches above the average.
