Car maker Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) on Friday said its domestic sales in the month of June grew 9.7 per cent to 39,806 units.
The company sold 55,713 units (39,806 in the Indian market and 15,907 in overseas market) last month as against sales of 52,062 units (36,300 and 15,762) recorded in June 2015, said a statement issued by HMIL.
Accounting for both the domestic market as well as exports, the growth in sales was seven per cent.
Rakesh Srivastava, Senior Vice President (Sales and Marketing) was quoted as saying: "Hyundai volumes grew by 9.7 per cent with sales of 39,806 units with strong pull performance of volume models the Grand i10, Elite i20 and Creta and on the buildup of positive environment with good beginning of monsoons and the announcement of 7th Pay Commission."
