Sanjeev Kapoor is a celebrity chef, TV personality, writer and entrepreneur -- and has now launched his own mobile app. He is laden with many jobs and responsibilities but he says that he handles everything with ease as there is support from his team and family.
"I juggle all these hats with ease. I have been very lucky to have constant and consistent support from my team and family. Both of them make me look good and help me in getting credit for all their hard work," Kapoor told IANS in an e-mail interview.
The celebrity chef recently launched his new mobile app in collaboration with New York based company escapeX.
The app will let fans access social handles like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and interact with Kapoor directly through the in-app social feed. This provides an unparalleled experience for fans, who will be able to enjoy unique and exclusive content.
Talking of the app, Kapoor said: "This new concept is the next level of engagement in social media through ownership of the platform through which we engage with our fans, followers and audiences."
"The app has all the features and technology that I was looking for. It took less than 30 days from scratch to Live which included brainstorming sessions and other elements," Kapoor said.
He also said that an exciting, patented feature will transform how fans interact with him by giving them the option to boost their or their peers' comments to increase visibility.
"The more time the fans spend in the app, the more virtual currency they earn and this by far is the most unique feature," he said.
"By turning recognition into virtual currency, the entire fan base can trade their earned or purchased in-app currency to promote themselves and others to the top of the comments feed and become top fans," he added.
According to Kapoor, this kind of independent digital route and the ability to build a community platform has a global reach and offers a major advantage.
"Being completely free for fans, the app will display the same targeted advertising content users see on Facebook, Twitter and Google, with revenue accruing to the content creator and the creator who drives the engagement," he said.
"My app will garner a greater slice of ad revenue, while also scooping up data on the content fans like most and enable the direct sale of all sorts of product and merchandise," he added.
"By creating my own branded app, I hope to provide his massive fan base with a better social experience and a very interactive experience," he explained.
Many new features will be added to the app in the coming months including the introduction of User Generated content.
