Singer-composer Remo Fernandes, who has composed the title track of forthcoming film "Luv U Soniyo", is grateful that people have liked his new composition, and that they remember his work even after many years.
"If everybody has appreciated it, I'm very happy because I'm doing it after a long time. I'm also very happy for the appreciation that was received by 'Maria pitache' from 'David'," Fernandes told reporters here at the Tassel Designers Awards 2013 Monday.
"I'm very happy... people have not forgotten me, they still like my music. I feel grateful and blessed," he added.
The Goan singer, who has sung popular Bollywood numbers like "Dekho dekho ye hai jalwa", "Humma humma" and "Pyaar to hona hi tha" in the past, says he prefers composing and singing his own songs. That is one reason which kept him away from films.
"I love composing music, I love singing songs. That's the reason I stopped singing songs for other music directors and I decided I'm going to direct my own music. I love creating music, and not just singing.
"Right from 'Jalwa', which was my composition, and 'O meri munni', I enjoy doing that the most," said Fernandes, 60.
"Luv U Soniyo" is set to release July 26 and stars debutant Tarun Virwani and Neha Hinge.
