Having bagged the man of the match with impressive figures of 2/18 in the eighth Indian Premier League lung opener, South African pacer Morne Morkel says he only had to make the best use of the favourable conditions at the Eden Gardens.
"With the new ball there was a little bit of swing. The rhythm was good, and I just needed to make the best use of it," Morkel said after the Knights defeated the Mumbai Indians by seven wickets here on Wednesday.
Describing the wicket as "good", he however, said the Knights had expected the wicket to turn a bit more.
"We expected the wicket to turn a little bit more, but the role the spinners played, in slightly tricky conditions, sums up the team."
