I wanted to kill myself: Danniella Westbrook

Actress Danniella Westbrook says she tried to kill herself by overdosing on cocaine.

The 41-year-old has struggled with an addiction to cocaine for years and says her turbulent relationship with former fiance Tom Richards, who she accused of hitting her, caused her to relapse and attempt suicide, reports dailymail.co.uk.

"I couldn't get Tom out of my life and thought the easiest way out was killing myself. That's why I used cocaine," Westbrook told The Sunday People newspaper.

Westbrook added that the cage fighter was simply using her in a bid to find fame.

"He's obsessed with being famous and has told people that he was using me to get there, to get on a reality TV show or something like that. It's something I can't understand about people nowadays," she said.
