Swedish football star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has urged Argentine international Angel Di Maria to complete his 46 million pounds move to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and insisted that signing the Manchester United winger is a demonstration of the magnitude of the French club.

"That shows how much they are willing to get what they want -- by investing in players like that. Because every year they invest to get big players but also players that fit in the team. So there is no limits," Ibrahimovic was quoted as saying by dailymail.co.uk on Saturday.

"The people behind this they want to become big. They are dreaming bigger and they will get bigger. It's all about small details. Real Madrid are a fantastic team. They have fantastic players but when they got Gareth Bale they became better for sure and we will become better for sure with Di Maria."

The star PSG striker also is eagerly awaiting Di Maria's move and says it would be a "fantastic thing" to play alongside the former Real and Benfica star.

"I don't know if it is done (contract deal) but of course if you get a chance to play with Di Maria it is fantastic thing. The guy has won everything. He is a fantastic player who plays for the team," the former Barcelona, Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan player said.

"He brings pace to a team. He brings quality, big quality and for sure he will make our team even better than it is today. So for sure he is welcome and we will receive him with open arms," the 33-year-old, who has scored 56 goals from 105 matches for Sweden, added.

Di Maria cost Manchester United a club record 59.7 million pounds fee last summer but failed to settle following a burglary at his home and, although a popular figure, it became clear he was finding it difficult to become part of the group.

Meanwhile, Ibrahimovic also knocked back United's hope of signing him this summer.

"I am happy at PSG. I have one more year to play at PSG then let's see what happens. But I am pretty sure I will stay at the club and I'm enjoying it."

Ibrahimovic scored in PSG's 1-1 draw with Chelsea here on Saturday night but they were beaten via penalty shoot-out in the International Champions Cup tie.
