The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is, for the first time, conducting pre-admission counselling to guide admission-seekers, an official statement said Sunday.
"The student registration division has opened pre-admission counselling for students seeking admission in various programmes of the university. This is being organised for the first time," the statement said quoting an IGNOU official.
"The session is being held at IGNOU campus from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays till July 31, which is the last date of admission," it added.
The counselling is being offered for various programmes offered by IGNOU, ranging from Masters' degree programmes to post-graduate diplomas.
IGNOU is the world's largest open university system with a pan-India and international reach with flexible entry qualifications and a wide range of academic programmes at affordable costs.
The varsity offers about 490 certificate, diploma, degree and doctoral programmes.
