Filmmaker R. Balakrishnan along with the cast of "Shamitabh" will honour music maestro Ilayaraja during the film's music launch Tuesday.
The director, who is also popularly known as R. Balki, told IANS: "We are celebrating 1,000 films of Ilayaraja, but I want to clarify that 'Shamitabh' is not Ilayaraja's 1,000th film. Southern director Bala's film is the 1,000th film of Ilayaraja."
"The entire team of 'Shamitabh' will be honouring him on Jan 20, and it's also the audio launch of 'Shamitabh'."
"Shamitabh" features Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Hassan in pivotal roles.
Earlier, Big B had said that the music launch of the film would also see the launch of a trailer, which will help viewers understand the story of "Shamitabh".
