India, Iran deliberate on Chabahar port development

India and Iran on Friday reviewed an agreement inked between both the nations to develop two terminals of Iran's Chabahar port, the shipping ministry announced here.

India and Iran signed a pact in May 2015 for the development and operation of Chabahar Port, it said in a statement.

The discussions were held between India's Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari and Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif.

Both the ministers also emphasised on the early conclusion of India-Iran-Afghanistan Transit agreement for realising the full potential of the port, it said.
