T.S. Tirumurti, currently a joint secretary in the ministry of external affairs, has been appointed as India's next high commissioner to Malaysia, it was announced here Thursday.
Tirumurti, an Indian Foreign Service officer of the 1985 batch, is currently joint secretary in the United Nations Economic and Social Division of the ministry. He is to take up his assignment shortly, a statement said.
In another appointment, the ministry said that K. Jeeva Sagar, the high commissioner to Ghana, has been concurrently accredited as ambassador to Togo.
Jeeva Sagar, an IFS of 1991 batch, would have residence in Accra.
