India needs a prime minister and not a man-eater, Steel Minister Beni Prasad Verma said Saturday, in an indirect reference to the BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
Though he did not name the Gujarat chief minister, the Congress leader said at a convention held here that the country was well aware of the person aspiring to be prime minister.
He warned people not to be swayed by the antics of the Bharatiya Janata Party leader.
Verma said the country was waiting for Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi to become prime minister and lead the country to new heights.
