India will take on hosts Canada in the Davis Cup tennis tie to be held from September 15-17 here, it was announced on Tuesday.
The Mahesh Bhupati-led India side, having defeated Uzbekistan 4-1 earlier in Bengaluru, will aim to be promoted in the World Group in 2018, if they defeat Canada.
"The play-off tie between India and Canada will be held at the Northlands Coliseum, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, from September 15 to 17. The winning team will be promoted to World Group in 2018," the All India Tennis Association (AITA) said in a statement on Tuesday.
