Indian man drowns in UAE

A 23-year-old Indian drowned while swimming in the Arabian sea in Fujairah, UAE, police said.

The man, identified only by his initials A.M.M., was swimming along with two other friends near a hotel Wednesday when the incident happened, Khaleej Times reported Thursday.

Rescue personnel and policemen rushed to the sea and fished out the man's body.

Police are investigating the incident while the body has been kept in the hospital morgue for post-mortem.

Fujairah Police has urged all sea-goers to be extra cautious.
