After garnering kudos for his acting prowess, British actor of Indian descent Dev Patel is ready to take the next step in the world of filmmaking. He's working on his own projects to narrate stories revolving around India and even has plans to introduce an Indian superhero to the world with his movie.

"One of them is a gangster film based in Mumbai. Another one is basically like kind of a superhero film with a very unlikely hero in it. The hero will be an Indian," Dev told IANS over phone from Berlin.

What aspect of filmmaking is he trailing into with the projects?

"I will be producing and acting in the projects," added the 24-year-old actor, who catapulted to global recognition with the Oscar winning "Slumdog Millionaire".

After "Slumdog Millionaire", in which he traced the life of a Mumbai slum dweller, Dev went on to do projects like "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" and "The Last Airbender".

His latest release in the US is "Chappie", a film about a robot that can feel and think. The film will hit Indian screens on March 13.

Talking about India and films around it, one can't help but ask Dev about what can bring him to Bollywood.

"Script! I just look for stuff that can challenge me. So if the script is challenging, then I will absolutely do the movie," he said.

A Bollywood film, without a dance sequence, seems incomplete. But Dev has no qualms about admitting that dancing is not his forte -- despite having grooved to A.R. Rahman's Oscar winning number "Jai ho" at the end of "Slumdog Millionaire".

"I'm really bad at dancing," Dev confessed.
