India are all set to participate in the 4th Asia Under-16 Basketball Championship to be held in Jakarta from October 29 to November 7.
The event serves as the qualifying event to the FIBA U-17 World Championship, with three slots allotted to the top three finishers.
The players, along with the coaching staff, were presented their kits by Basketball Federation of India (BFI) secretary general Chander Mukhi Sharma at a distribution ceremony held at the Kanteerava Stadium complex here on Monday.
In the preliminary league round, India are in Group D along with reigning champions China, South Korea and Iraq. The top three teams from each group qualify to the second round, followed by the knockout stages of the competition.
