Indian shooters Manavjit Singh Sandhu and Kynan Chenai got off to positive starts in the men's Trap event on the opening day of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup being held at the Olympic Shooting Centre here.

In the first qualification round of the men's Trap event on Friday, former World Champion and World number one Manavjit Sandhu missed two targets out of 50 to end the day in eighth position.

The youngster Kynan Chenai, who will be competing in his first Olympics in August, was trailing Sandhu by a point, shooting a score of 47 to lie in the 14th position.

There are 75 more targets to go before the top six make it to the final round scheduled for Sunday.
