The Indian cricket board has sought information from Mumbai and Delhi Police on an interim report submitted by its Anti-Corruption and Security unit chief regarding the spot fixing scandal, board's interim chief Jagmohan Dalmiya said Thursday.
The report was submitted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) Anti-Corruption and Security unit chief Ravi Sawani.
"An interim report has been submitted to the BCCI in Mumbai. Information has been sought from Delhi Police and Mumbai police by the BCCI. Both are inquiring. They have not provided any information yet," Dalmiya told mediapersons here,
Replying to a query, Dalmiya said the board had no intention to shelve the report.
"There should not be such thoughts that it will be shelved. Once we are ready with answers, we will discuss it," he said.
The Ravi Sawani panel was formed by the BCCI May 19, three days after the arrest of Rajasthan Royals players brought the sensational Indian Premier League spot fixing scam to light.
S. Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan were nabbed in Mumbai by Delhi Police for alleged spot fixing.
