Andres Iniesta has signed a three-year contract extension that will keep him at Barcelona until the end of the 2017-18 season.
"I am very happy with this. I am pleased to extend my contract with this great club," said the 29 year-old midfielder Monday.
"I will be 34 when this contract finishes, which means that I will probably finish me career as a Barca player. I hope my performances remain as good as they are now."
Iniesta has played 480 games for Barca in all competitions, scoring 48 goals. He has helped the club win three Champions Leagues and six Spanish La Ligas.
He has also won 94 caps for Spain since 2006 and played a major role in helping Spain win the World Cup and the past two European Championships.
