Bayern Munich's coach Pep Guardiola has said injured defender Jerome Boateng is close to rejoining the German football champions, but is yet to regain full fitness.
Guardiola spoke on Monday ahead of the German Cup semi-final against Werder Bremen on Tuesday, reports Efe.
Boateng trained with his team-mates on Monday for the first time in three months; however, he did not participate in the intense workout sessions.
Guardiola did not want to elaborate on the exact date of Boateng's return, which will basically depend on his fitness and not match schedule.
Boateng took a blow on January 23 during a Bundesliga latch against Hamburg.
The German defender will not participate against Werder Bremen at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday.
He may feature in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon stadium in Madrid.
