All is set for the 19th edition of the three-day India International Seafood Show (IISS) beginning in Chennai Friday, according to the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA), co-organiser of the event.
IISS has become one of the largest seafood fairs in Asia and is jointly hosted by MPEDA and the Seafood Exporters Association of India, both headquartered here.
The biennial show is a common forum for seafood processors, exporters, importers, aqua culturists, processing machinery manufacturers and allied industries that come under one umbrella.
India is the second largest aquaculture producer in the world, the second largest exporter of shrimps to Europe, the third largest exporter of shrimps to Japan and the fourth largest exporter of shrimps to the US.
