Intex mobiles to come with pre-loaded Truecaller app

The new Intex Aqua Young smartphones will now have pre-loaded Truecaller and Truedialer applications to bring smarter, safer and more relevant communications to Intex users.

Truecaller on Monday announced a partnership with Intex Technologies, one of the leading mobile handset brands in India, to replace the native phone dialer with the Truecaller experience.

With this integration, users of Intex Aqua Young smartphones will not only be able to identify more than two billion numbers on incoming and outgoing calls but also block unwanted calls or hidden numbers and protect themselves from known spammers with a community-built database.

"With this association, we are confident of further strengthening our focus of providing a differentiated experience to our consumers and help them experience smart ways of connecting and identifying contacts," Nitin Goel, general manager, VAS & Experience, Intex Technologies, said in a statement.

Launched in 2009, Truecaller has a customer base of 100 million in India and have doubled their community of users in less than 10 months by providing revolutionary products that solve a global problem.

Priced at Rs.5,090, the Intex Aqua Young handsets are available across the country.

The free Truecaller app is available on Android, iOS and Windows Phone platforms.
