The investiture ceremony of the Central Command to felicitate award winning officers, gallant soldiers and Veer Naris will be held at Kumaon Regimental Centre (KRC), Ranikhet in Uttarakhand on September 12, a defence spokesperson said on Friday.
Lieutenant General B.S. Negi, Army Commander, Central Command, will preside over the ceremony which will be witnessed by serving army personnel, veterans and special invitees including the families of the awardees.
On this occasion, 4 Yudh Seva Medals, 13 Sena Medals (both gallantry and distinguished service), 1 Bar to Vishist Seva Medal, 14 Vishist Seva Medals, 6 GOC-in-C Unit Citation to the units, 18 Surya Trophies including one Best Sports Trophy, 1 Sarvottam Jivan Raksha Padak and 1 Jivan Raksha Padak will be awarded by the Army Commander.
