Iran against 'unusual' inspections at its n-establishments

Iran on Wednesday declared it will never accept "unusual" inspections at its nuclear establishments pursuant to a potential nuclear deal.

"What is certain about the inspections (into Iran's nuclear programme) is that Iran will not accept to be a subject of unusual regime of inspections," said Iranian foreign ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham in her weekly press briefing here.

Iran's nuclear case should be treated as that of other signatories to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), Xinhua news agency cited her as saying, adding that "we will not accept to be an exception to the regulations, and we have announced it clearly to the negotiation parties".

Transparency was what Iran was open to implement regarding its nuclear programme, and in return Iran would enjoy its inalienable rights to peaceful nuclear activities, she said.

"Nuclear enrichment in Iran's soil is one of those rights we will take advantage of forever," she maintained.

Representatives from Iran and the P5+1 group of world powers -- the US, Britain, France, Russia, China plus Germany -- wrapped up their six-day work on drafting the text of a final nuclear deal on Tuesday in New York on the sidelines of the 2015 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

The next meeting will be held in the Austrian capital of Vienna next Tuesday, Araqchi added.

On April 2, Iran and the P5+1 group reached common understanding on outstanding issues ahead of the June 30 deadline.
