An Iranian fighter jet crashed in the country's Sistan and Baluchestan province on Tuesday, killing two pilots, the media reported.

The F-4 fighter jet of Iran's air force crashed in Konarak area during training, reported Xinhua news agency.

An aide to the Sistan and Baluchestan governor told ISNA news agency that technical problems led to the crash.

The pilot had intended to land the jet on a road in Konarak but failed, the aide was quoted as saying.

Iran has seen several air accidents of both civil and military aircraft in recent years.
