Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent condolences to the French people following deadly attacks that left more than 100 people dead, adding that the world should join forces in its battle against extremism.
"On behalf of the Israeli government and the citizens of Israel I send deep condolences to the people in France and the families of the victims who were brutally murdered last night in Paris," Netanyahu said in a statement to the press on Saturday evening.
The Israeli prime minister said he instructed Israeli intelligence and security forces to assist colleagues in France who are investigating the attacks, and ordered to strengthen security surrounding Jewish institutes in European states, Xinhua reported.
He also said terrorism is a "systematic attack" against innocent civilians throughout the world.
"I have been saying for years that the Islamic terror attacks Israel and other states because it wants to destroy us. We should view this as an attack on all of us. We should come together and beat the plague of international terrorism," Netanyahu added.
A string of attacks in six different locations in Paris on Friday night claimed the lives of at least 127 people and injured approximately 200 people, among them 100 injured in serious condition.
