World No.1 Novak Djokovic would probably face defending champion Andy Murray in the US Open semifinals, according to the tournament draw.
The US Open is special to Murray because the Briton earned his first Grand Slam title in New York last year beating Djokovic in the final, reports Xinhua.
Seventh seed Roger Federer would possibly encounter second seed Rafael Nadal in the quarter-finals. The two super stars had their 31st meeting last week at Western and Southern Open, in which Nadal won 2-1, but they have not played each other yet at Flushing Meadows.
Serena Williams, the top seed in the women's singles, would meet 2010 French Open champion Francesca Schiavone in the opening round. The winner of 16 Grand Slam titles could play third seed Agnieszka Radwanska or fifth seed Li Na in the last four.
