Television actress Neha Desai is overwhelmed with the response to her book "Sweet Kiss Sour Kiss", a compilation of poems composed by her. She is enjoying the tag of a writer and said that she is already working on her second book, a fiction story.
"It's ('Sweet Kiss Sour Kiss') available online right now. It's not out in the stores as yet. This is my first book. It is different to be called an author now. It's good to have one title after the other," Neha told IANS.
The actress has featured in shows like "Grihasti" and "Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki".
Neha is promoting "Sweet Kiss Sour Kiss" mainly on the digital platform and is receiving satisfactory response.
She said: "The response is good. There is a page on Facebook. There is a lot of PR activity happening on Instagram as well."
Neha hopes her poems are translated into songs.
"The poems, which I have written, are like songs. They are lyrical and rhyme and can be used as songs. I would love it if someone takes some interest in my poems. But in India, we don't have anyone who makes English songs. I would love it if someone sings these poems," she said.
She is already working on her second book.
"I am writing my second book too. It is a fiction story. I think it should also come out in six to eight months," she said.
She was on a break from acting.
"I haven't been acting for a year now. I have been travelling and all. I did find a lot of time for my writing. I didn't have to sacrifice TV. It just requires thought and dedication," she said.
Acting in TV shows is certainly in her scheme of things and she plans to make a comeback with negative roles.
"It has to be negative. I don't want to do positive, as it is way beyond my imagination. I can't imagine someone being positive all their life without having any grey shades. So, I feel there is more scope to perform in a negative role," she said.
