Bari, July 27 (IANS/AKI) The number of people killed in an explosion at a firework factory in southern Italy rose to nine on Monday after one of the plant's owners died in a hospital.
Michele Bruscella, 43, died in the Perrino hospital in the port city of Brindisi in Puglia region.
Two other people wounded in Friday's blast at the factory in the town of Modugno were admitted to hospital in Puglia's region's capital, Bari, and in Naples, capital of the neighbouring Campania region.
Six victims of Friday's explosion were killed instantly while two others died in hospital soon afterwards.
