Italy are set to finalise their FIFA World Cup preparations with a friendly against Fluminense June 8.
The four-time Brazilian champions confirmed Saturday that an official invitation has been sent by Italian football federation for the match in Volta Redonda, reports Xinhua.
"We are looking at ticket sales and other details before we can sign a contract for the match to go ahead," Fluminense spokesman Ricardo Tenorio said.
The match will be the last chance for Azzurri manager Cesare Prandelli to fine tune his team before their opening World Cup match against England in Manaus June 14.
Fluminense are likely to be without Brazil's Fred and Diego Cavalieri as well as Edwin Valencia, who is expected to be in Colombia's World Cup squad.
