Jammu and Kashmir Governor N.N. Vohra on Friday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi here and apprised him of the security situation in the state, sources said.
Vohra apprised the Prime Minister of the development work undertaken by the state government. The meeting was held at the Prime Minister's Office at South Block and lasted for about 45 minutes.
There has been a spike in militant attacks as also unrest in parts of the Kashmir Valley. A civilian driver was killed and three soldiers were injured on Thursday when militants ambushed their vehicle in the state's Shopian district.
