Jammu and Kashmir Governor N.N. Vohra has directed security agencies to act promptly on intelligence reports to ensure better results, an official statement said on Wednesday.
"The governor reviewed the security issues with senior civil, police and central intelligence agencies officers in a meeting at the Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday evening," the statement said.
"Reiterating the importance of continued vigil and maintenance of close coordination amongst all agencies concerned, the governor stressed on prompt action on reports received from different quarters on security.
"He also directed the chief secretary to closely monitor and ensure quick redress of public grievances."
