The Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday announced probes into alleged irregularities regarding appointments, allotments of contracts among others in five key departments, including the sports council and PWD.
Each probe panel has been directed to submit its report by June 14, a statement said.
The investigations were initiated in the state sports council, skill development, Public Works Department, Flood and Irrigation Department and the Lakes and Waterways Department.
"Following a large number of complaints from various quarters, five panels of senior officers have been directed to probe the irregularities," an official spokesman said, adding that five separate panels headed by five senior administrative secretaries/commissioners will probe the irregularities.
