The Jammu and Kashmir government said on Monday it would review the entire security scenario in the state to ensure that militant attacks like the Pampore suicide strike are prevented in future.
"The government is reviewing the entire security scenario to prevent any attack on security forces in future," Education Minister Naeem Akhtar told the legislative council after its members sought the government's response on the recent attack on Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Pampore in which eight troopers lost their lives and 20 others were injured.
The Minister assured that a strategy is being devised to respond to new tactics adopted by militants.
He further said that the attack is a condemnable act, and also assured the house that the next of kin of the jawans, who lost their lives and those who got injured in the attack would get compensation as per norms.
