The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday appointed Finance Minister Arun Jaitley the incharge of Gujarat for the coming assembly elections.
Besides, Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, Nirmala Sitharaman and P.P. Chaudhary have been made co-incharges to assist Jaitley in the crucial elections, the party announced.
Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar has been given the charge of Karnataka assembly elections, with Power Minister Piyush Goyal as his deputy.
The party also announced the appointment of Union Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Thawar Chand Gehlot as the incharge of Himachal Pradesh assembly elections.
