Actor Jake Gyllenhaal made his first appearance at the screening of his film "Prisoners" after injuring his left hand.

The 32-year-old came with a stitched up and bandaged hand Friday, reports eonline.com.

Gyllenhall injured himself while shooting for the upcoming thriller "Nightcrawler".

"During the shooting of the scene, his character purposefully banged his hand into the mirror," his representative said.

"Unfortunately, the mirror broke and Jake's hand was badly cut up. He got numerous stitches at the ER and was released."
